As far as I can recall, Judith Parker invited me to come after choir practice on night out in front of the Unitarian Universalist Church on Troup Square. I went to Rexanna Lesters' house on Tatnal Street with Bill Smith and there were only a few of us. Rexanna, Jim and Betty, Frank Debolt, Judy Guatier, and the only other treble was Gary Arthur and we collapsed in laughter at our inability to read the shapes. We were almost run off when we suggested that we turn off the CD and attempt to try to sing without it. We met on Monday nights at 9PM after the Old Time Jam at the Sentient Bean at first, but then began to change times and days depending on the avalibility of Rexannas' house or who was willing to host. I don't remember when we hooked up with Gene Pinion but that year we sang at the Savannah Sings The Season concert at the UU and then with the Savannah Music Festival. Probably the main reason I got so interested in it was; the fact that the second time I ever sang was at the all day sing in Hoboken on St. Patricks' Day.
